Wicks Manor Farm received Essex Life Fine Food & Drink Awards for ‘Pride of Essex’ for our great tasting, authentic pork products. The delicious award winning range includes our top sellers, Smoked Back Bacon, Olde English Sausages and Pork and Apple Burgers. This fantastic achievement follows on from the national Meat Industry Awards, where our great-tasting Gluten Free Sausages was ultimately crowned ‘Britain’s Best Sausage’.
Producing quality pork produce is at the heart of all we do in the family. This fantastic award means so much to the whole team because it recognises everyone’s efforts. We have always been so proud to be part of a thriving food scene in Essex and look forward to the many years ahead.
With 50 years of farming behind us, we know exactly what it takes to make great-tasting pork products. We have been producing pigs since 2000 and are totally dedicated to producing fantastic quality and flavour. We grow the crops to feed the pigs, that live on the farm in large open strawed barns. All our pork products are made on the home farm, using only the very best of ingredients. The bacon is dry-cured by hand and smoked using a blend of beech woodchips, to give a delicious flavour. Our succulent selection of gammons and hams are cooked and cured to perfection. Not to mention, our award winning burgers and sausages have super high meat content and are made using only prime cuts of shoulder.
