The votes have been counted and it’s official; Wicks Manor has been voted Essex Producer Of The Year. What’s more this now means we are one of just three shortlisted finalists for the East of England Co-Op’s 2018 Producer Of The Year Award.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for us, every vote really does count. This year the East of England Co-op had the most votes they’ve ever had for their competition, over 28,000!, so it’s a real achievement!
Our team here at Wicks Manor have put in so much hard work over the last year, so this really makes all their efforts worthwhile. It is a great way to end our year of celebrating our 50th anniversary of family farming at Wicks Manor. The celebrations included a collaboration with the East of England Co-op on ‘The Great Sausage Mash Up’ giving sausage fans the chance to create a unique new pork sausage flavour. The winning sausage, Pork and Honey, was produced and sold exclusively into selected co-op stores in Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk.
The final judging is underway and the overall winner of The Producer of The Year Award by East of England Co-Op will be announced at the annual Supplier Supper on Thursday 15 March.
